Domestic Solar
Domestic Solar Solutions on your property

Solar panels capture the sun’s energy using layers of semi-conducting material, usually silicon. These cells are grouped together on a panel, then a number of these panels are installed to a roof or ground mounted frame.
The cells convert sunlight into direct current (DC) electricity, an inverter is installed to convert the DC into usable Alternating current (AC) which you can use for your domestic appliances and lighting. The power generated is measured in kilowatts peak (kWp) which is where it generates at peak performance. We try to ensure you can get the maximum kW power from your installation for your home. Reducing your electricity bill.
These cells don’t need direct sunlight to work, as they can even generate electricity on a cloudy British day, but usually the rule is the stronger the sunlight, the more electricity is produced.

You get paid for electricity you send back to the grid
Smart Export Guarantee Scheme (SEG) once registered with your utility company SEG is paid for any electricity exported to the grid. The utility company will be able to set the level of payment, although there may be a minimum threshold they abide by.
Solar PV has little to no maintenance, all you need to do is keep the panels relatively clean and ensure there’s no overshadow from trees.
Most PV in the UK are fitted at a 15° or more which helps the cleaning of the panels by natural rainfall which ensures optimal performance. With ground array panels these are most likely to get debris, however these are a lot easier to clean by hand. Most panels installed should last 25 years or more with optimization and performance and this is usually backed by the manufacturers warranty, but inverters are likely needed to be replaced every 10-15 years, depending on make and model.

Should your roof be unsuitable for solar panels, age, structural or design limitations, we can overcome this by installing panels to a ground mounted frame within the garden or neighbouring land.
This ground mounted system is connected via a buried cable back to your home via an inverter.
