Planning granted for one of the largest Floating Solar Projects in the UK
Working in partnership with Ethical Power and National Pontoon, the East Green Energy team — alongside the EP development team — has successfully secured planning for a 0.55MWp floating solar array, consisting of 900 panels, to help power a major nursery.
This innovative system is set to be one of the largest floating solar installations in the UK to date. A huge step forward in combining clean energy with sustainable food production.
This project was designed and will be built in partnership between East Green Energy and National Pontoon using the only British manufactured Aqua PV floating solar system. Floating solar is a niche technology, but one we know well — this will be our fourth system of this type once built and operational. It’s an exciting and highly efficient solution for sites with high demand and limited roof & ground space.
